If you own a business, consider giving to the Alamos Wildlands Alliance through the program 1% for the planet.  This is an organization of over 700 businesses that donate 1% of their sales to environmental groups.  AWA is a receiving organization, for more information visit- www.onepercentfortheplanet.org

Through our various projects the Alamos Wildlands Alliance contributes to conservation and education in Southern Sonora.  The annual donations made by members constitute a large portion of the operating expenses for the Alamos Wildlands Alliance.  All gifts no matter how large or small are greatly appreciated.  Members of the Alamos Wildlands Alliance contribute to science and field based conservation, education, and research in a unique and spectacular part of the world.  Members also receive:

  • A free t-shirt
  • A discount on stays and the Navopatia Field Station
  • Our yearly newsletter

A basic one year membership is available for a tax-deductable donation of $50.
For greater donations we will personally make fish tacos at your house if we are nearby.

As AWA has traditionally operated on a small budget and the contributions of its staff and members, all donations are spent wisely and stretched as far as possible.    If you are interested in donating, click on the link below to donate online.  If you would rather send a check please send it to :

Previous Donors

Kenny and Maggie Dessain have donated to AWA a piece of land on the estuary (Turtle Island Peace Camp) which is now the site of Navopatia Field Station. We are excited to continue this project, and are seeking funds in a variety of ways. Individual donations are a crucial part of our campaign to conserve wild places in Sonora.  In the current political climate, donations to ecological organizations have dropped dramatically, and we cannot wait any longer to preserve this land. So we are requesting help, from you, our friends and family, in the form of monetary and material donations. (See our wish list below). All donations are deductible on your federal income tax return.
